Monday of this week saw the culmination of 2 weeks of hard on the ground work, which followed months of fundraising, by a group of 9 Victoria Police Legacy ‘Young Adult Police Legatees’, who had self funded, and returned to Cambodia to make a ‘World of Difference’ to the ‘Prey To Teung’ Primary School near the city of Siem Reap.
The old school building was transformed with a completely new roof, a coat of paint, old style classroom blackboards being replaced with new whiteboards, new toilets being built for the students, a playground being built, bicycles being repaired, basketball rings being replaced and brand new desks being built onsite and installed in every classroom.
An amazing effort by an amazing group of Young Adults! Just so proud of what they have achieved. To top it off, Victoria Police Legacy will never be forgotten by the local village and school community through the beautiful tree that has been painted on and adorns the side of the school building which has the VPL logo and the handprints of the 9 who achieved so much forming the trunk and the handprints of the students that forms the leaves! Just so beautiful!
