We were recently made aware of this heartwarming story from Police Legatee Sue Fraser (wife of Leading Senior Constable Garry May), and we just had to share! “Recently I had a call from Sergeant Julian Litcanu (from Professional Standards) informing me that he had unearthed a Service Plaque earned by my husband to mark 22 years of service with ESD (as it was then known).

The National Police Service Medal is a special service award within the Australian honours system. It provides ‘recognition for the unique contribution and significant commitment of those persons who have given ethical and diligent service as a sworn member of an Australian police service’.
