With You Every Day: The Lasting Impact of Police Legacy
Victoria Police Legatee Nicholas (Nick) Stefaniw, now a proud serving member of Victoria Police, lost his father to suicide - a veteran police officer of nearly 30 years. In Nick’s words: “The support that police legacy has given us has been ongoing since the day of my father's passing…even to this day there is ongoing support that I am forever grateful for.”
Today is about acknowledging the incredible work done by Australia’s eight Police Legacy organisations. They all work hard to ensure that all Police officers and their families are taken care of. When tragedy touches our policing family, Police Legacy steps in - offering care, connection and support to the loved ones left behind.
